A strong mineral window shields the silver-and-black dial, which features silver-tone Arabic numeral hour markers at even intervals beginning at two o'clock. The dial also includes silver-tone watch hands and the Hilfiger flag logo beneath 12 o'clock.

Hilfiger was born the second of nine children in Elmira, a small town in upstate New York. In 1969, while still in high school, he began his retail career with $150 and 20 pairs of bell-bottom jeans. Soon after, he opened his own small chain of stores called People’s Place. Self taught, he began designing the clothes that his customers wanted but could not find.
In 1979, Hilfiger moved to New York City to pursue a career as a fashion designer. He introduced his first signature collection in 1985 and has since expanded the brand’s product offerings and distribution to include menswear, womenswear, jeanswear, childrenswear, related licensed products, fragrance, and home collections.
In less than two decades, the Company has grown from a menswear collection to include approximately 40 product licenses and 10 geographic licenses worldwide, through which a broad array of related apparel, accessories, footwear, fragrance and home furnishings are offered and distributed.
The Company's products can be found in leading department, and specialty stores throughout the United States, Canada, Europe, Mexico, Central and South America, Japan, Australia, South Africa, India, China, Korea, Malaysia, Singapore and Taiwan, as well as the companies own network of outlet and specialty stores in the United States, Canada and Europe.
In his role as Principal Designer and the Chairman of the Design and Strategy Board, Tommy Hilfiger provides leadership and direction for all aspects of the design process. As well as designing, Tommy Hilfiger is actively involved in a number of charitable causes.
